NORTHWEST ACADEMY we use multi-modal teaching methods, coupled with cognitive, social, and emotional learning strategies that instill your child with life-long learning skills. The essence of our curriculum is the integrated application of both cognitive (thinking) and emotional (feeling) learning processes.
Cognitive learning is facilitated through problem solving, recall, and application. Social and emotional learning aids in the development of the skills, attitudes, and values necessary to achieve personal goals and understand and manage relationships. It is this synergistic relationship between Northwest Academy's personal growth program and academic curriculum that ultimately aids your child in becoming more receptive to cognitive learning.
Small classes, averaging eight students, ensure that students receive the attention they need and allow for individual direction and structure. This enables them to succeed in the classroom and lets us pay close attention to their needs and progress
